Paul Sadler Swimland Townsville recently donated a large sum of money to the Ronald McDonald House. The money was raised through fundraisers like Swimland Townsville's first birthday celebrations, Footy Finals Week, and Mother's and Father's Day Raffles. Below is an article that appeared in a recent issue of a local newspaper.
A local Swim School has pooled together a significant donation for RMH in TSV. The Paul Sadler Swim School has raised more than $2000 for the charity, with a cheque set to be presented to Manager Hellen Tarttelin today. The TSV RMH is expanding rapidly and the funds raised by the swim school will go towards the extension of the current accommodation, providing another 12 units for families of seriously ill children. The house is full every night of the week with families from far north and west Queensland as well as Papua New Guinea. The school has been raising money for the organisation through a number of fundraising initiatives.
