During the month of August all of the Paul Sadler Swimlands held their Squad Carnivals.
All 4 competitive strokes are contested and distances vary according to the age of the competitors. Competitors at some of the centres were as young as 6 years old. For many swimmers this was their first taste of competitive swimming, and although daunting, particularly for the younger children, they all found the experience very exciting. There was also a Junior and Senior Parent/Child Relay event.
The winners for both boys and girls in each of the age groups plus the parent child relay winners went on to compete in the Paul Sadler Swimland “All Stars” Carnival which was held at MSAC on Sunday, August 23. For many of our swimmers this was their first competitive swim in a 50m pool.
