PSS Squad Carnival

16 August 2011

On Sunday 7 August 2011 the Squad swimmers from all our Victorian sites took part in a swimming carnival held at the Richmond Recreation Centre. 170 swimmers participated in the day, enjoying the opportunity to swim in a 50 metre pool.
There were many highlights to the day, including a handicap race swum by the teachers (which had a very exciting finish). But our proudest moments were seeing the looks on the swimmers’ faces when they received a PB certificate for swimming their fastest time!
It was fantastic to see all the different colours around the pool in support of each site, and the effort that the kids had made to dress up added to the already fun atmosphere.
Many parents helped out on the day and, whether they were time keeping or cheering, their support was very much appreciated. A huge thank you also goes out to all the PSS staff who contributed.
Congratulations to all the swimmers – as a group they achieved 400 PBs on the day!
