Swordy 1km Swim Day

19 June 2011

On Sunday 29 May Paul Sadler Swimland held its inaugural Swordy 1 km Swim Day.

As part of the Squad restructure, we introduced this event as a way to further acknowledge all of our swimmers when they achieve their Swordy 1 km Gold Medal.

We had over 100 swimmers across all sites take part on the day, with everyone venturing to the host sites at either Rowville or Essendon. Each swimmer completed 40 laps of a 25 m pool and participated in the award ceremony to receive their Swordy 1 km Gold Medal, presented by coaches, managers and Swordy.

This is the first of many milestones that swimmers can go onto achieve as part of our Squad program. We were very excited to share the success of all swimmers and honoured to be part of such a proud moment for so many families.

We would like you to consider that when your child achieves their Swordy 1 km Gold Medal, with your support, we have motivated and enabled them to become swimming literate.

We will be holding out next Swordy 1 km Swim Day during Term 3.
