SSC Member Benefits

Becoming an SSC Member allows swimmers to enhance their swimming skills, in a supported environment, with an opportunity to compete.

Like any sporting or community involvement, there are many benefits to swimmers that are not just about swimming - being involved with SSC is a good way to make friends, stay healthy, and build life skills such as learning to work towards goals, build resilience and celebrate success and progress.

Most importantly, you don’t have to be a ‘star’ to become a member, as SSC caters for all levels of ability and aspiration.

Further information on Membership Benefits can be found in our Membership Benefits statement which also shows some differences between the different types of membership.

Registration to compete at Swim Meets

Swimmers need to be registered with a swim club to enable them to compete at swim meets approved by Swimming Victoria, including Interclub and State Championships. The SSC Membership Fee includes the cost of Swimming Victoria registration.

Discount on Squad Fees

As an SSC member you will receive up to 60% off the price of your squad swimming. Check with reception at your local site for specific details as prices are dependant on the number of sessions an athlete is swimming.

Holiday Stroke Clinics

SSC stroke clinics occur during each school holiday period. SSC Members receive up to 40% discount off the cost of these sessions, which run for a two hour period every day, for a week. These sessions provide an excellent opportunity for swimmers to work on refining the technical elements of their swimming.

Insurance

Your Swimming Victoria registration also covers accident insurance for participation in swim meets outside our pool (conditions apply).

SSC Specific Squad Sessions (paid for by term)

Members can attend specific SSC training sessions which are conducted in the early mornings prior to school. These sessions train specifically for all four competitive strokes, concentrating on STARTS (Dives), Turns (including Medleys) and Finishes. Each Paul Sadler Swimland site has a different training schedule to cater for the varying abilities of their swimmers.

SSC can accommodate the development of all swimmers from beginner squad level (Paul Sadler Swimland Pumpkin Certificate) through to the elite levels, whether they have swum at Paul Sadler Swimland in the past. Recognition of effort and performance will be monitored and posted on club notice boards, with a range of awards given out at the end of each season.
