14 year old David represented SSC with distinction at the Australian Age Championships April 13-18 at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. David swam a 2.15 second personal best in the 200m Breaststroke in a time of 2:39.66 finishing as 17th Australian in his age group. David also swam strongly in the 100m Breaststroke, swimming close to his PB (+0.17 sec) placing 27th Australian respectively with a time of 1:14.30. This was a magnificent first performance by an SSC swimmer at his first National meet. David was well supported by his Site Coach Dirk Keesman, our Head Coach Peter Howes, and his family. Congratulations to David who showed the benefits of consistent training within the SSC program. We look forward to many more SSC swimmers achieving National level qualification in the next 12 months.
