In an exciting milestone for SSC, we had our first finalists at the recent Victorian State Championships, with finalists in age and open events. Three of our swimmers reached finals in individual Age and Open events - Zoe Robertson (9th in the 12 year old 200 FLY), David Burgess (7th in the 14 year old 100 BR and 200 BR) and Emma Russo (10th in the 16 year old 200 BK).
Three of our relay teams had the thrill of competing in finals at the Victorian Open Championships (all ages). This included the girls 4 X 200 FR relay (8th - Emily Meyerink, Stephanie Holmes, Zoe Robertson, Ashlee Griffin), the girls 4 X 100 FR relay (10th - Emily Meyerink, Emily Smith, Ashlee Griffin, Brooke Griffin) and the boys 4 X 200 FR relay (9th - Luke Edwards, David Burgess, Shain Gulen, Jordyn Jackson).
We congratulate all these swimmers and look forward to many more finalists in the future. We also thank the parents and other swimmers who came and cheered on many of these finalists.
