This our 3rd year of attendance at the event we have met our goal of team champions after placing 2nd to the host team in each of the previous years (2008 FOY 1789 - SSC 1202, 2009 FOY 1248 - SSC 961).

SSC's mantra for this meet was to Have Fun and Win which was depicted in every race when medals were on the line leading to a total of 69 medals won 24 GOLD, 23 SILVER, and 22 BRONZE (57 Individual and 12 Relay Medals).  Not only were the points and medals evidence of SSC's domination of this event but our athletes posted 90 Personal Bests in their 175 swims (51.43%) improving on PB's by a total of 249.31 seconds (6min 9.31sec).

To add to the accomplishments our team broke 8 Meet Records: Brooke Griffin in the Open Girls 100 IM, and our relay teams winning in the Girls 10&U Freestyle Relay (Canis Nugroho, Caitlin Williams, Lucy Bush-Butler, Grace Dadswell), Boys 12&U Medley and Freestyle Relays (Nathan Huynh, Kyle Micallef, Thomas Gnaden, David Allen), Girls 12&U Medley and Freestyle Relays (Leah Allen, Adrianna Grech, Lauren Southall, Kodilee Strahan), Boys 14&U Medley and Freestyle Relays (Glenn Strutt, Callum Leahy, Luke Tiberi, Martin Leeder).

Swimmers posting 100% PB's - Samuel Bush-Butler, Peter Howes, Callum Leahy, Martin Leeder and Cody Mills.

Yes you read right ... even our Head Coach Peter Howes made some splashes in the pool contributing to the team effort!

Thanks to our coaches at this event who supported our athletes, Dean Gooch, James Neale and Veronica Phelps who were all kept very busy recording and providing feedback to our swimmers.  Special thanks to all our parents who came to life when our athletes needed some extra support and encouragement and roared our teams home in the relays.

A great team effort by all!
