Policies & Behaviours
SSC develops and updates Policies regarding how our Club will operate and sets minimum standards for how all our people are expected to behave. This helps us to provide a supportive environment where our swimmers can enjoy their swimming and strive to improve and meet their own goals.

POLICIES
The following policies have been adopted by the club to guide and support its members:
• Club by-laws
• Swimming Australia ‘Member Welfare Policy’
• Swimming Australia ‘Child Welfare Policy’
Other SSC Policies will be added to this section of the website over time.
We recommend our members become familiar with all club policies.
Swimming Australia Policies, Procedures and Rules (including the ‘Member Welfare Policy’ and ‘Child Welfare Policy’) can be found here.
CLUB BEHAVIOUR GUIDELINES
Across the Club, we ask that everyone seek to act in line with SSC Values. SSC also adheres to guidelines set out by Swimming Australia. All SSC members, parents and spectators are required to embrace the guidelines set out in the 2007 Swimming Australia ‘Behavioural Guidelines’ document.

We ask that you read through and explain these guidelines with your child so that the expectations that SSC has for all members of the club are clear. In particular, the importance of on-going respect and support for all SSC teammates, coaches, officials, spectators and other personnel can be highlighted.

GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE
We treat concerns and grievances seriously. It is always preferable to first raise matters with your Site Co-ordinator or local Site Coach, but we recognise that this is not always possible or appropriate. As a club affiliated with Swimming Victoria, SSC operates in accordance with Swimming Australia policies and guidelines, follows associated Behavioural Guidelines and our SSC President is also our allocated Grievance Officer.
