Book NowAt Paul Sadler Swimland, our swimming lessons focus on teaching deep water survival skills. No matter your age or skill level, enrolling in our swim lessons could be one of the best decisions you make!
We teach survival skills at every level. We spend a minimum of 10 minutes per lesson in deep water, where we teach treading water, deep water recovery (safety circle) and mobility on front and back until children have achieved 2 minutes treading water. Our unique approach facilitates accelerated progression, with the aim of having every child in our swim school learning to be safer as soon as possible.
While every child should be supervised around water, arming your children with the skills to save themselves, in the event they‘re in a dangerous or life-threatening situation, is something that our customers are extremely grateful for.

At Paul Sadler Swimland we offer swimming lessons in Australia, and Vietnam. In 1972, our founder Paul Sadler turned his hand to teaching swimming classes that were inspired by his love of swimming (being an avid swimmer himself) and also being a trained teacher. In the 70s there was an influx of backyard swimming pools and with it an increase in the number of childhood drownings. Paul realised there was an opportunity to combine his skills and help families reduce the risks of drowning.
Over the years, Paul developed the premise of teaching swim lessons with a focus on survival skills. This foundation on teaching more than just stroke development has remained in place even as the program has evolved over the past 50 years. Now, Paul Sadler Swimland has a world-leading learn to swim program that is run by a great team who help swimmers engage in stress-free learning and grow a passion for the water, every day.
We have the best swimming lessons for swimmers of any age and skill level. Sign up to one of our great swim programs for swimming classes that are fun, engaging, and perfect for you.
At Paul Sadler Swimland we offer some of the best swim lessons in the world due to our focus on swim survival skills. By emphasising water safety skills in our adult, child, and baby swimming lessons, we help all of our swimmers become safer and more comfortable in the water.
While we advocate that your child should be constantly supervised and within an arm’s reach when they’re around deep water, we understand that sometimes accidents happen. Helping your child become a safer swimmer is a crucial life-skill and statistics show that participating in regular formal lessons decreases the risk of drowning by up to 88%. At Paul Sadler Swimland, we’re here to help!
We understand that kids swimming lessons can be life-saving, but they are also LOTS of fun. We approach each lesson with the goal of helping children develop important swimming and survival skills in an exciting, engaging, and stress-free way.

Participating in a swimming lesson isn’t just for children. According to recent research, 1 in 4 adults in Australia are weak swimmers or unable to swim at all. To help remedy this statistic, we offer adult classes at most of our locations.
At Paul Sadler Swimland we believe that swimming is for everyone and that no one needs to be embarrassed of their skill level. Our team will treat you with the kindness, empathy, and respect that you deserve as you learn to swim or refine your technique.
No matter your age or skill level, Paul Sadler Swimland has the perfect class for you.
Sometimes swimmers need a little extra support to gain their water confidence and develop their skills. At Paul Sadler Swimland we ensure that every swimmer is able to learn and progress at their own pace, but we are also conscious of the extra care required by any special needs swimmers in our classes.
Our team has great experience ensuring swimmers with special needs feel heard, supported, and engaged throughout every lesson. We also offer private lessons for any swimmers who need that one-on-one interaction as they learn.

When you book in to our swimming lessons for children aged 3 and up, the first step we take is to sign your child up to a free swimming assessment. The reason we assess our swimmers is to ensure that they will be placed in the most appropriate class for their current skill level.
Our swim teachers assess swimmers by observing factors such as:
While these factors are considered for our Learn to Swim program, in our Parent/ Child program, a swimmer’s age plays an important role in the level they are placed in.
Once a child is in a level, they will be assessed each lesson by our team until they are deemed to have mastered the skills of their current level. We allow our swimmers to go at their own pace, and do not force them to progress through the levels before they are ready, nor will they hang around in a level waiting for a set amount of time. When children are ready they will be moved to the next level.
Our aquatic facilities are found at the following locations in Australia:
At Paul Sadler Swimland we are members of the Australian Swim Schools Association, the International Swim Schools Association (ISSA), and the United States Swim School Association. We also have more than 25 industry awards, with our most recent achievement being our founder Paul Sadler’s induction into the Australian Swim Coaches and Teachers Association Hall of Fame (ASCTA).
At Paul Sadler Swimland we have also established the Swimland Foundation. All money raised through this foundation helps educate the public on water safety and contribute towards our goal of the Zero Drown Toll.
